Put yourself in Adrian Mutu's shoes. The night before you were due to return to training following a ten-month ban for failing a drugs test, do you:
a) Have a quiet night in on your own.
b) Have a quiet night in with the missus.
c) Have a quiet night in with some friends.
d) Go out to a nightclub, order a bottle of champagne, explain you can't pay for it, and when that explanation is not accepted, allegedly break the nose of the waiter outside the club.
If you chose options A, B or C, sorry, you're not worthy of being Adrian Mutu. It's been lovely having you, but it's time to go home now.
If you chose option D, congratulations! You could be Adrian Mutu. For that is what Mr Mutu allegedly did over the weekend. Lord.
