<span style="font-style: italic">Nov 2</span> - Former Indiana Pacers point guard Darrell Armstrong said his recent comments to a North Carolina newspaper about Larry Bird were made out of frustration and that he didn't intend to call the team president a "liar."</p>

Armstrong told the Gaston Gazette that the he was "bitter" and that the Pacers "lied" to his agent about what they planned to do with him during the offseason.</p>

"I don't think Larry lied to me. I just think it was a business thing," Armstrong said during a telephone interview Thursday. "Larry Bird, (general manager) David Morway and (CEO) Donnie Walsh have always been good to me. I was just frustrated because I had to sit there all summer and not know what was going to happen to me and then get released on media day.
