One of the all time no shows by Chet, that's for sure.

I think the Knicks will take the Spurs apart but I thought the Thunder could beat them in a hard fought series.

Good call by all of you who had the Spurs. You had the right team @KingSpeed

@THE HCP you said this was the Spurs year like mid season or something.

The Knicks are playing good basketball.

However, the Spurs do have home court advantage. That could matter.

It'll be interesting to see what OKC does in the off-season with all their draft assets.

Clearly, they better do something.
If they want Giannis they have the pieces to do it. Something like Hartenstein, Dort, J Will and a shit ton of picks for Giannis would probably get it done.

How does this contract look after this series?

I wander if Sam Presti will try to make a big trade for the Thunder now?

They have to. San Antonio isn't going anywhere, and OKC have loads of assets to trade. Any maybe they can dump off Chet's contract with it.

There's going to be a bit of a shakeup, that's for sure. But only because of money concerns - they could easily tell themselves they only lost because of injuries to Jalen Williams and Ajay Mitchell. And they'd probably be right.

(As I said in the OKC thread - I can see them trying to get Zach Edey. And Memphis might be amenable, if only because they still want to tank and also he's a constant injury worry. And don't forget, next year OKC will have Thomas Sorber.)

I’m happy that the Thunder lost but the fucking spurs are back in the finals after only a 12 year drought. It has only been 10 years since Duncan retired.

This is depressing.

Gratz to the Spurs

I think the Spurs beat the Knicks BUT Knicks are a vet laden team and I give them better chance vs the Spurs then if the Thunder had made it.

Spurs in 6 but not confident enough to put money on that -- LOL

I think this is the destination.

Cut IHeart & Kendrick Williams (get below the 2nd apron)

Chet + Dort + Wiggins + 17 + 2-'27 picks for Giannis

Should leave OKC with ~$18M for 3 roster spots ( try & resign IHart for $10M + #12 + min roster spots for a ring chasing C)

OKC has 13 first round draft picks between now and 2031.

I wonder if that is enough to get Wemby?

The circle jerk dunking on Chet is a little weird to me. Guy just turned 24 and sucked against arguably the best player in the world in the western finals. I expect he will work hard this offseason to improve.
