...lol...ya know, a little research might just help;

...Steven Drew vs James Shields; BA .545 OBP .545 SLG .727 OPS 1.273

...small sample size, but still, it likely gives a little insight as to why Joe has him batting...plus the fact that Gardner is out, kinda cause the whole lineup to be altered.

edit; Matsui, Nunez, and Cano used to own Shields too.

And even if its a lefty right thing hell let Suzuki bat 5th then, I mean he's only hitting over 400 over his last 10 games. Just plain dumb.

...Ichiro vs Shields; BA .288 OBP .323 SLG .390 OPS .712

...fwiw, I won't be posting during this game because I can see where this shit is going already.

Gammons: Yankees “are claiming everyone” off trade waivers
By Michael Axisa
Via Peter Gammons: The Yankees “are claiming everyone” off trade waivers this month. That doesn’t necessarily mean they are trying to make a trade, they’re most likely blocking players from getting to the teams ahead of them in the wildcard race. The Yankees can still use some help with five weeks left in the season — another reliever, a right-handed bat, etc. — like every other team, but it seems unlikely they will make another trade at this point. They made their moves before the trade deadline.

Drew Prado Headley Suzuki....the 4 Horsemen!

Drew Prado Headley Suzuki....the 4 Horsemen!

LMAO.........................................................................................................................I don't get it.

The sheer power of this offense, opposing teams quake in fear and awe.

We can score and the ball never leaves the infield.....bwaaahhhaaahhhaaahhhaa!!!!!!!!!!!

Murderers row!

At least over there last 10 games Ichiro is hitting 413 & & Prado is hitting 344, Okay Headley only 235 over his last 10 games. And yet they're all hitting behind the Ted Williams like Stephen Drew hitting in the middle of the lineup at #5 with his 156 average over the last 10 games. But hey with Girardi being as smart as he is I'm sure there has to be a few of the other 29 managers that put a 160-170 hitter in the 5 spot. I mean there has to be.......................................................................right?

nice to see gardner out of # 1 slot, is that cause he is hurt or did girardi finally get it

Three more outs to go for a big win. I just hope they don't tease us and follow this up with one of their four game losing streaks.

Jacoby makes it 8-1 with a two run shot for a little more insurance.

...the good guys win again.

...and btw, great job by Huff...really helped save the pen.

Well all you can say is keep it going. Very important games against the Tigers coming up.

I hope this was not too vulgar of a display of my powers.

...Joe putting the hit and run on and thus staying out of the DP and allowing Ichiro to score.

...Drew with the HR and game winning RBI.

Good to see Prado & Ichiro continue to consistently come up big. Yankee rolling along. Lets hope it continues.
