The Austin Toros topped the Texas Legends 122-97 Friday night at Cedar Park Center. Nando De Colo on assignment from the San Antonio Spurs and Eric Dawson led the Toros in scoring with 21 points a piece.
A team effort from the Toros resulted in 31 assists to that of 15 from the Legends. Six Toros finished the game in double-digits. Malcolm Thomas, also on assignment from the San Antonio Spurs, contributed 15 points as did Jonathan Simmons from the bench. Texas Legends' David Ebanks led all scorers with 24 points and six rebounds.
The Toros closed the first quarter ahead 11 points and never looked back. They led by 24 points at the half and as many as 33 points throughout. The Toros shot 50.0% from the field compared to the Legends 39.1%.
The Austin Toros are 2-2 against the Texas Legends this season.
The Toros (7-6) and Legends (9-5) compete again tomorrow Jan. 4 at 7:30pm at Cedar Park Center.
