Has anyone received any insight into a 2015 expansion? I've read bits here and there on scout/rivals and heard a few people talk about it, but nothing solid. Also heard the AD was conducting studies into the ability to sell out an additional 8,000-10,000 seats per game.
Compliments of wikipedia my layman's words...Autzen seats 54,000 but has consistently sold around 59,000 for every home game with SRO tickets since expansion in 2002. With the expansion, Autzen would near 70,000 seating.
Officials have said that developing understanding of sounds will lead to a louder stadium when Autzen is again expanded.
Any insight>>?? Anyone heard anything>>??
I think Oregon AD needs to move forward cautiously, as Reser (just over 45,000) can't complete their partially complete expansion because the coffers are empty.
I understand Oregon's success and donor base is completely different....
This is a contrast to the situation at OSU where the AD recently stated, fundraising totals are off by $1 million and football season ticket sales have faltered, ominous signs at a school that previously announced severe budget cuts and the possible elimination of some minor sports if matters did not improve.
