I think this will be a tough one for us to end a road trip with McDonagh out, but we are playing well, so let's hope for the best.

I will add this, if we win this game we'll get home ice in round 1 for sure IMO. Not saying we won't if we lose, but if we win I think we got it.

on paper, there is no way they win this game.......but who
thought the Blue Jackets would ambush Philly tonight....

Yes, anything is possible.....Go Rangers.

Rangers have played a strong game, but sometimes you shake your head at the defensive lapses.

lundy should have come out of net, didn't think the goalscorer handled puck cleanly

I love it. Finally a shot on a 2 on 1. The dman did the right thing playing pass 100%, but Stepan actually shot which is awesome.

A PP goal would be sweet and set us up great for the 3rd. The first two PP's we had one good chance. Let's get one fellas.

Come on Brassard. Wake up tonight. Two very stupid lazy penalties.

Stepan has really picked up his game, good for us.

Play a strong 3rd period and we are looking at home ice in round 1. Rest that shoulder for another 2 weeks McDonagh. Then we need you big fella.

Nice slash by landesdick. Eventually one of these is going to break some bones.

Crap. horrible clear by girardi and in our net with 51 seconds left. Just clear the friggin puck dan

Ok. shootout time. No excuse with the king not taking this shootout. Should be zucc, nash and st.louis

Oh well, picked p a point on the road. Not terrible but bad point that should have been 2 when you can't score an empty net goal in almost 3 minutes and give up one with 50 seconds left. Crap

It's nice to pick up a point at Colorado, but what a wasted effort.

Shootout was pretty bad. Varlamov didn't really have to do much.

The Rangers defense was obviously tired in the third period. You hate to see the game tied late but I'll take the point. Now just go home on Saturday and clinch a playoff spot.

Happy with the point. Last tough reg season game that will matter. Team should be able to come home and hopefully clinch the 2 after the 3 games at MSG. Could have played better tonight but over a long season this was a good point

I was wondering what St Louis was doing there..almost worked.

Frustrating the way it ended, but after the poor game in Calgary if I said we'd get 5 of the next 6 points on the trip we all would have signed up in a second.

If we take care of business at home the next 3 games we should be the 2 in the Met and host the Flyers.

Tomorrow could be a huge day. Philly is at Boston. The Bruins have lost two straight and would clinch the East with a win. I am sure they want to get back to their winning ways, and clinch at home tomorrow. And we host the Sens tomorrow night, who are out of it and playing the 2nd game of a back to back. If we win and the Flyers lose it just about locks it up for us.

That is what it is all about. Who cares about clinching a playoff spot IMO, that has been a lock for weeks now. It is about clinching the 2 spot in the Met and getting home ice round 1.

If we get 4 of our remaining 8 points we are sitting with 95 points. That would mean the Flyers would need 9 of their 12 points available since we own the TB at the moment. And with our next 3 games at home against the Sens, Sabres, and Canes we really have no excuse at this point not to lock up the 2 in the Met division within the next few days. And if tomorrow goes as planned we can just about lock it up then.

If we win and the Flyers lose tomorrow it is just about done. We'd be 6 up and the Flyers would only have 5 games left. So we'd be just about locked in. Tomorrow is extra big when you look and see the Flyers host the Sabres and then play at Florida after the Bruins game, so they should win two straight at least after Boston. So let's go Bruins tomorrow, and then we beat the Sens at night hopefully, and home ice here we come.

This team is really coming together now. It will not be easy, but this team does have a chance to do some damage in the playoffs if we play our game, Hank is Hank, and Nash/MSL show up.

You are so focused on Philly. .. don't forget there is this team in Ohio....

Yeah, the BJ's have gotten to the heels of the Flyers no doubt. Philly, with their schedule after tomorrow and the TB, should still get the 3 spot worst case, but now CBJ does have an outside shot at it.

And what I have really been focused on is home ice round 1 Al. I have thought for a long while it would be the Flyers, but either way the key is getting that home ice round 1. That has been my 100% focus since we beat CBJ really. That's the big one.

In terms of Philly and CBJ...I think I rather play CBJ gun to my head, but either way if we get home ice I feel good we would win a long series against those teams (assuming McDonagh is back for game 1).

Chuck no doubt your attention was 2/3 seed...but what I'm saying is still dime season left. I wouldn't mind seeing the jackets in round one. Would that mean a Pitt Philly or philly boston series...win win for us

Agree Al. Yeah, the last team the Pens want to see is the Flyers. It would be a win win for us if the Flyers fell to a WC spot, but I don't see that happening.

The Flyers schedule gets easier after tomorrow at Boston, so I think they hold on. That is a big game for home ice tomorrow. If the Flyers get beat tomorrow I think we are in an awesome spot to lock up home ice soon, and pretty much would be locked in barring us going 1-3. So let's go Bruins big tomorrow, and they have something to play for trying to end their two game losing streak and a win in regulation locks up the East for them.

just checking the schedule of both teams.....and this caught my eye

"Sat, Apr 12 @ Florida 7:00 PM FSOH 2,065 available from $4 "
Hell I can fly down and watch the game and fly back for less than buying a ticket to see my beloved Rangers lol

Let's face it. AV put Girardi and Staal on the ice for 27 to 28 minutes
last night. Girardi was sucking air at the end of this game. Missed
McDonagh big time last night.
Happy with this point.

Yeah, that's it cage. We played a strong game IMO. Again 5 of 6 points after the no show in Calgary, we all would have signed on for that.

Let's hope tomorrow goes the way we want (Boston beats Philly and we beat the Sens), and we can get a little rest before the playoffs start.
