AV's thickheaded, moronic ideas on defenseman must change

Just listening to this guy, he's still completely lost as to what a defense should be. His moronic idea about defenses winning in the NHL because of speed and puck moving ability is incredibly dumb. Defenses that play defense well all around win you thickhead AV. Pitt had Cole and Lovejoy who are not fast, not offensive in any way on their cup winning team. AV needs to get this thickhead to ask Lundqvist, " Hey Hank, by the way, did Yandle, Boyle, Girardi or Staal bother to clear the crease at all for you last year? Or were they guys standing in front all season taking point blank shots?"


I mean, this guy is sounding more and more like a stubborn Torts and like a guy who might be canned at the end of this season. The third best defensive defenseman on this team last year was McIlrath. The fact our thickhead coach still can't grasp that is quite alarming. This is also where Lundqvist needs to take a leadership role and step up by telling his coach he wants McIlrath in a starting role and that Girardi simply can't play at this level any longer. Sports is a cruel business. Sometimes as a leader of the team you have to call a teammate out when he's hurting the team.

Dan G looked even worse than last year from what I saw on Tuesday if thats even possible. Did they think that Dan would grow a new pair of legs over the summer or something?
