I wish they would just retire his number.
Ditto, he gave his body for us, would be a great way to honor him.
And we get Karma points too. The whole "uncertainty" shit bothers me. It's this odd dark cloud when it comes to Roy and Oden. We never knew anything until the very last minute. Then is was like "Hey guys, FYI Roy isn't going to start, he's retiring" or "We stand behind Oden and are hopeful that he will return next season" then next season "Oden has complications and he's out again, but we will see him again fans... Renew your tickets" to "Blazers waive Oden" LOL!
Oden gave his body too, should we retire his number as well?
Too many others that have more points, rebounds, assists and games played for the franchise that do not have their number retired.

And yet nobody can remember their names. Brandon Roy and what he did for this franchise will never be forgotten, especially once they retire his number.
Remind me again what he did for this franchise.
It appears to be the same shithole it was the day we drafted him, we never got out of the first round with him leading the team, and we're now the same laughing stock lottery team we were after blowing up the team 9 years ago.
He was probably one of the 10 best players we've had, but he took us nowhere and accomplished nothing.
Towards the end of the 3rd quarter I yelled "Put Roy in!" and 4 people turned around and high five'd me.
Love it!That smile is freaking infectious.
I half expected the team to catch fire just after he was shown like they did here:

To all you haters who don't recognize what he did for this franchise, watch that video. And realize that he was coming off of serious surgery that was done just 8 days prior. He gave his body for this team and city. Where we are now and how successful we were with him is all irrelevant. He made this team watchable again.
