Arizona and Cal scare the bejeebies out of me.

Rightfully so???

Arizona: no. Ducks get them at Autzen, which seems to energize this Duck team into a frenzy that can't be stopped. Cal? Yes. Tedford always gets his kids amped up to play Oregon, esepcially at Call. If the Ducks make it past USC next week, I see that as their last stumbling block.

If Cal is scary, it's because they're so erratic. I don't know which Cal Oregon's going to be facing, but I'm betting they'll be pretty amped up at the beginning of the game. UCLA is erratic like Cal, and fortunately Oregon got the bad kind of UCLA, but Cal is much better than UCLA is. Arizona is a quality football team. Like everybody it seems, they'll get a bye week before playing Oregon.

But I'm going to give in to the Chip Kelly mantra. Today I'm only worried about USC.

Meh, neither team really scare me.

Cal is basically UCLA to me. I've watched them twice and they won't have any answers defensively for the juggernaut Oregon offense.

Two things scare me:

1) USC as they still have scary good talent and are playing as good as any team in the nation right now.

2) Arizona, but only if they get a good lead on us. They have the best defense we will see this season.

With the possible exception of WSU, there are no "gimme" games in the Pac 10.

UCLA is getting in that territory. It couldn't happen to a nicer guy than Slick Rick either. I actually liked them when they had DeShaun Foster, Mercedes Lewis and Karl Dorrell was at the helm. They played balls out every Saturday.

Foster was a juggernaut.
