That's what I was thinking but couldn't tell if it were a multiplayer game.

I've played a bit of it single player, not sure whether it has multi from memory. It was a bit of fun, but really is just a press and simulate game.
Cap and contract management side of it was fun, but you literally have 0 control over the way the team performs. You can have the best team by far and still no guarantee you won't lose in the finals.
Player positions are completely irrelevant too, and the players aren't real names.

Check it out if you want a few hours of fun, but it gets old pretty quick.

you hit it right on the head. It's basic and easy, and it gets easy after a while.

I'm hoping NBA 2k16s MyGM is a lot better, and they actually take a harder look at the CBA when they develop it. I've always wanted to play a realistic NBA sim and there's none out there.

There are a bunch of downloadable rosters. Unfortunately I can't find one that has been updated since the beginning of the playoffs, I was looking forward to simulating a few seasons with our new squad. The 1985 download seems like it would be fun though.
