Ok this shiz was tight and not tight too.
First of all, the tournament started at 11:30. I was waiting for igotask8board like forever and he showed up at like 1:35. So between 11:30 and 1:35 we had a game. We were going by 1's and 2's since we were playing halfcourt. They had two 10 minute halves. In the first half, we were down by 7-1 and we went on a 8-0 run to take the lead 9-7. Then igotask8board showed up. He was going to play, but I had 5 people already and that was the limit and since he showed up late, he couldn't play. That was pretty messed up, but yeah we didn't get to play together. He was watching me play. And he can tell you guys how I was playing against other teams.
Then our second game we lost, but we were guaranteed 3rd place because we had a bye right after our 1st game which put us in the semis. There were 4 teams remaining. If you count byes as a win then we were 2-0. We were sittind down and the other team who was 2-0 was sitting down too. Now the remaining teams were 1-1 and were playing against each other. So whoever lost were going to be out because it was double elimination. Then we were going to be guaranteed 3rd place. There were 3 teams left and we played the other 2-0 team. We were up 7-6 at half time but we ended up losing by like 4 points. Now there was a 3-0 team, we were 2-1 and the other team was 2-1. So to decided who was going to the finals we played the other 2-1 team. We lost to them by 2 points with me missing a three pointer to tie. So we ended up with 3rd place. I have the medal and I will post a pic of it later on.
Now came the three point shootout. The 3 point shootout was a tag team shootout. Basically you stand at the corner and go all the way around. You had to make 5 shots from the corner, the wing, straight, wing, then corner. Your opponent was on the opposite side of you trying to do the same thing. After you finished your teammate had to do the same thing. Whichever team finished the shootout first would win. So there were about 12 teams. Me and igotask8board were teammates. We won our first game, second game, won our third game, and lost our 4th game. It was basically like brackets so we kept on advancing. In the end there were 3 teams remaining so we had ended up doing a 3 way tournament at the end. All teams came out to be 1-1 so we kept on going. Our team and another team eliminated the 3rd team so we were in the finals. I let igotask8board go first so he could start good and I could finish good. We were in the finals against these two cold people. Their first guy finished and igotask8baord was still shooting. As soon as he finished, and it was my turn to go, their team had won. So I didn't get to go, because igotask8board finished too late. The other team won and me and igotask8board came 2nd. The first place team got $20 and second place went home with nothing.
Overall, it was fun as hell playing with igotask8board in the three-point shootout. The guy shoots EXACTLY like Reggie Miller. He's pretty good, but too bad he couldn't play with me in the tournament. We played together in the three point shootout. I got third place in the overall tournament and 2nd place with igotask8board in the shootout. Pakman, my brother, was hosting the tournament and he got a video camera from his friend and record me and igotask8board doing the three point shootout. I will ask him to tell his friend to cut that part out and send it to me on youtube so I can show it to you guys. It was a bad ass video!
