This is round 1 of the battle tournament. Try your best. The winner will advance to the next round, while the loser will be eliminated. You have 2 days to battle back and forth, and then a winner will be announce by the following criteria:

1. Originality ..../10
2. Rhyme Scheme ..../10
3. Creativity ..../10
4. Rebutals ..../10
5. Flow ..../10

total _____/50

Good luck! And have fun. Remember, if you are busy, I can always extend the time for the battle.
 
I'm steppin' up first, ready to fire away,
So we might as well end this battle today,
Got three years on this punk, you should be callin' me Sir,

Now, I'm praying that you provide some actual competition,
It's just not as fun if I can beat you to submission,
My rhymes are known to make people deaf and dumb,
I don't anticipate a response, like in the Jazz forum,
I win over the crowd, just ask any man,
Only 10 lines in, and Frankie Muniz is a fan,
It's okay to feel scared, I know my rhymes are frightening,
But this is just my first rap, I back up thunder with lightning,
Don't fight it, I'm advancing, there's nothing to discuss,
When I'm voted the winner, I know you'll be screaming "East Coast Bias!"

this is tough actually.. haha.. cuz chutney's was okay, he only had one line that stood out and made me laugh, the jazz forum one. but yray dissed you hard bout you bein canadian (dont worry i am too), and i just love his last line.

so my pick, just by a tiny bit is jray!
 
I'm going to have to go with Chutney on this one.

J-Ray's start wasn't too good but he made up for it in the end. However, his flow wasn't as good as Chutney's and that Jazz forum line was one of the best in the first round IMO.

I'm Canadian as well, so dissing us isn't that good. I hate hockey though.

Chutney had some nice lines that had me cracking up. JRay's was pretty soft with some weak insults and an obligatory mother reference (how creative!). I pick Chutney.
 
Chutney.

Couple of his lines made me laugh (I loved the Jazz forum one) and it seemed to flow well IMO. JRay, I felt his verse was okay, but a bit too much of generic lines (I consider mom lines in a rap battle generic as well...I didn't really wanna use them in my battle against Swish15 either but I had to rebuttal his lines) but for the most part okay.
 
Both were good, really tough to decide..but I think Chutney killed it, his was more entertaining.
 
J_Ray was gone for a couple of days, so I will be extending this battle. Sorry for telling you guys this after all the voting and explanation, but I didnt really know until now. I'm going to extend this for another day.
 
So should we pick off where we left off, or start anew?

Chutney by a mile. He's had all of the best lines so far in the whole competition. Everything is totally on point (Creativity, flow, humor, etc.). Now that I've seen more of him, he's my new favorite to win it all.
 
Chutney was better in all categories. Nothing more needs to be said.
 
If we're already allowed to vote on this then Chutney hands down. All of your verses were interesting and your lines made me laugh quite a bit.
 
I change my vote to Chutney his last 2 freestlyes were crazy.
