Brilliant!

I think Nic is going to be special. He's already my favourite player for the way he plays D.

it got a little disjointed at times because of the translation, but what a great read to start my day with. Thanks! Man do I love the Blazer starting forwards.

I thought the bit about gambling was eyepopping...

-Gambling, betting, you can't fall into that, you know weird games and stuff. A guy called Michael Francis came for that one, he used to launder money for the mafia. You hear a lot of creepy stuff, there's guys who did stuff like that, now they're completely debt ridden, and plus there's the risk of getting killed for nothing, so...I remember I was in Boston and I got a call from a guy offering to give me 10 000 dollars if I scored 4 three pointers. I hung up straight away. I'm not going to fall into that.

yeah, then to have the actual team give him 120$ every game night for food in an envelope. That might be confusing at first.

Really, really good article. My favorite part:

The work he puts in for the team doesn't go unnoticed by the team's star, Brandon Roy. Nic: "He told me keep up the hard work, you won't be good in this league you'll be great if you keep working. Coming from Brandon Roy, the guy who's a two time all star, one of the best guards in the league, in the top 10 in the NBA, the guy tells you that. I think he knows what he's talking about though, I mean he's reached a certain level, and the fact that he said that to me, it really made me feel good. And it encourages you.
It was also pretty interesting to get more details on his supposed heart condition.

Funny to think that there's a pretty reasonable chance we could have three players (Batum, Oden, Fernandez) suit up for the Sophomore team at All-Star weekend.

That would be awesome, but I'm holding out hope that Oden plays his way into the actual game with Shaq in the East and Yao out.

EDIT- actually, Oden would also play in the Rook/Soph game. Brain cramp, because I remember Roy and LeBron James both doing double duty.

edit: I love when we agree on things!
