Bayless didn't workout with Greg

Weird. This is confusing.

old news. He actually did workout with Greg.

Then why is he saying he didn't. Either the team told employees to lie or Jerryd is lying. Would the team do this to put up a facade that Jerryd is tight with his teammates, to increase his league-wide value to the club?

I thought that the Jerryd Bayless twitter was a fake.

I brought this up earlier, but Quick said when he asked Bayless how Greg looked, Bayless said he didn't workout with Greg, but he also had a little grin on his face when he said he didn't.

Either Bayless just felt like kidding around, or maybe the Blazers want to keep the news on Oden down. I think they realize they pumped Greg up a little bit too much before the season last year.

Are you saying the qoute is made up, becuase it is defintely not.

Show me a link where Jerryd specifically said he didn't work out with Greg. Not a third party who is twittering that Jerryd said he didn't work out with Greg.

Actually you have the wording wrong. I believe Quick asked him if "He went to Ohio". As in, he went to school in Ohio. So Jerryd was a smart ass and said "No, I never went to Ohio State."

@thebeaverstate Me, Greg Oden and Jerryd Bayless are eating some tacos after a hard workout and shoot-around. #blazers

I can't give you link, but Jerryd's qoute was from Ben Golliver over at blazersege, who has media credentials with the Blazers.

He's a very reputable source. Highly doubt he would make the qoute up.

With that said I still think he did workout with Greg, he probably was told by the organization to keep quite about it so he's denying all together.

Not saying it's the right way to go about it but I just think that's what's going on.

But who knows maybe he didn't, MB on blazers courtside read an e-mail from a guy who was wanting an update on both Greg and Jerryd and MB then reiterated that Bill Bayno was coming on the show shortly and should have some info on it.

Barrett fails even to mention Jerryd's name once during what was nearly a 10-minute interview and Bill doesn't refer to Jerryd at all.

my guess is that jerryd is just being jerryd. I saw him once at pita pit and my friend was messing around and said "oh look its oden!" So I said no its bayless and jerryd heard me and turned around and said "where?!?!" so I played along and pointed to the corner and he smiled and turned around. Probably one of those guys that like to mess with people because he can.

They talked about this on Wheels at Work yesterday, they had a trainer (the guy who went to a college team and backed out on coaching) on and he confirmed that Greg and Bayless worked out together once in Ohio and once in Arizona. He didn't know where the news came from that it never happend and then Wheels said theres a reason why people should only listen to his show for Blazer news lol.

Bayless said he didn't workout with Greg . . .
C'mon, kids. "Work out" is two words when used as a verb. It's one word when used as a noun.

Okay, do we have that straight?

:tsktsk:

Maybe "work out" means "lift weights" to Jerryd, not "played basketball..."

The problem is that Jerryd doesn't know what this term "work out" really means, with the amount of time the guy spends in the gym, perhaps Quick should have asked "have you and Greg gotten together and done 'nothing much' together this summer?"
