Nov 21, 2011 - Oregon's LaMichael James, Alabama's Trent Richardson and Wisconsin's Montee Ball have been named the three finalists for the 2011 Doak Walker Award, giving annually to college football's best running back.

I don't think James deserves it this year. I'm glad he came back for this year (and hope he comes back again for his senior year!) but he hasn't consistently come up big in big games and I think it's tough to claim he's been the best RB in college football this year.

True, but if he has three monster games and he leads Oregon to their first Rose Bowl win since (1917?) - I'd say he may deserve it.
