Tonight's game against the Heat continues the string of games where the bench were a net positive and the starters pretty massively negative (Aldridge was -31 for God's sake!) Interesting, given that the accepted wisdom is that our starters are awesome and we have no bench.

The bench went 4-14 (1-7 3pt), 10 rebounds, and 4 assists in 62 minutes. 3-13 shooting if you throw out Freeland's garbage time bucket.

In no way did the bench "play well". Ray Allen alone outscored the main bench tonight.

This is why +/- for a single game is a useless stat.

Yup! Lets just play the bench all 48 minutes. Im sure we would win everytime!

You are aware there's such a thing as "defense", right?

How about for the past ten games, when virtually every bench player is better than virtually every starter?

So long as they'll play their bench too, because it would be stupid to play our bench against their starters.
