In an effort to court African-American support for his presidential campaign, Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders held a meeting this week with members of the Congressional Black Caucus, but only 6 members showed up.

According to Politic365, “the meeting took place outside the Capitol Building so that the members could talk politics and election strategy in depth.” And according to the invitation, the meeting was meant to serve as “overview of CBC priorities and a conversation on pressing issues impacting the African American community.”

Maybe because in his ad, he was looking to meet with the black cockus.

Nobody showed up for this thread compared to "Is Bernie a Communist?, "Bernie Endorses Rape," "Democratic Socialism," and "Bernie! The Movie"

Why would anyone from the Congressional Black Caucus meet with Bernie right now to discuss election strategy in a primary unless they intend to to endorse him over Hillary? Maybe the non attendees want to help Hillary win South Carolina. If he wins the party nomination and then gets a lean turnout from the Congressional Black Caucus for a strategy meeting that would be a big deal. Nothing to see here.

He tried, they were saying he doesn't listen or care about them. He reached out, they blew him off. IMO they should be reaching out to all candidates, republican and democrat.
