I love cop movies. I want to dress like detectives in cop movies.

That chain with the badge is so FUCKING cool.

Touching evidence with pens.

Walking up to the scene and going straight though police tape no questions asked.

Hats

leather jackets

smashing assholes on the table in "the box"

List your favorites.

I'll start with a few:

Training Day
Seven
Donnie Brasco

Watching "Narc" right now. :pimp:

What are your favorites?

Chinatown, even though it's not about a cop but a private detective, still very awesome.

Seven
Super Troopers
Rush Hour/Rush Hour 2
Heat
Beverly Hills Cop
Blue Streak
The Departed (if it counts)
Superbad (if it counts)

Dude is so bad ass, he can wear a Lions coat.

Here's my rule: It's not a cop movie without Steve Guttenberg,

I'm surprised nobody had mentioned L.A. Confidential. That one was way awesome.

When I was younger and we had Cinemax or something.. my favorite movie ended up being "Busty Cops" lol

Here's a nice list..........

Se7en
City By The Sea
Insomnia
The French Connection
Narc

Easily in my top 5.

I wonder if we should count FBI films... Like Silence of the lambs etc.

Maybe not. Just becomes to vast then.

I like the whole plain clothes divorced shitty apartment tortured detective thing.

It's too bad The Wire was a TV show and not a film.

If you're going to watch "Insomnia", watch the original with Stellan Skarsgaard, not the remake with Pacino.

Not a cop movie -- but I enjoy watching First 48. I find the investigation and breaking down bad guys during interrogation very interesting. I get bummed when they can't solve the case.

The French Connection/II

The Wire is killer. Not a movie, but if you have the time to watch the series, it's a masterpiece.
