What's up everyone? This is my first post here but I'm going to get right down to business. I started this on another site but thought it would be fun to bring it to another Blazer community as well; the more the merrier! Basically, it's a prediction for the entire season on what you think each of our "Big Three" will average in terms of points, rebounds, and assists. In addition, as sort a quick and simple tie-breaker, I'd like a win prediction as well. Any prediction can be changed up until tip-off on opening night in LA. Below is a link to the spread sheet as of this moment in time. It's not "live" in its online form; I have to constantly republish new iterations of it from the saved version on my computer.

The nice thing is that it will be easy for me to check back at this thread at any time to add new predictions to the sheet, and the thread will live on as a back up. Now, the most common objection I've received is that Oden's blocks should be predicted in addition to, and perhaps even in place of, his assists.

There are two main reasons I don't do it that way. First, I think a block prediction for Oden would be even more monotonous than the assist prediction. That is to say, I think just about everyone would guess between 2 and 3, probably on the low end, making the aggregate picture not very interesting. The second reason is that I get a slightly OCD feeling about tracking different categories for different players; I want it uniform for all three.

Now a word about the competition. Not surprisingly, I'm not offering any prizes. However, I have had a couple posters offer pairs of 300-level tickets and the like. Maybe if enough people participate, we can come up with something fun and interesting. My method of scoring I've settled on after much deliberation is surprisingly simple. It's just the sum of the absolute differences in each of the nine columns. As the season progresses, there will be real values across the top in the "Actual" row, and the "Difference" column will be updated accordingly.

Alright, have fun! Also, if you're already on the sheet, feel free to let me know what moniker is/was you and if you would like me to change anything about your entry.

At the beginning of the season I'll post the final list. Then, likely at weekly intervals, I'll post newly published versions of sheet sorted not alphabetically but in order of who is doing the best so far.

Welcome, ma brah. ;)

Oh, minor detail, but if you wouldn't mind, change my name to ABM.

Thanks

Here is my predictions:

LMA 20.1 ppg 7.9 rpg 2.6 apg
Oden 14.8 ppg 10.1 rpg 2.0 apg

All the info is there. If you love the avatar so much, name them from left to right  (I would have to google the full-sized image to even have a chance)

Glad you approve. I know they are the models of Victoria's Secret and I can identity Alessandra Ambrosio, Miranda Kerr, Adriana Lima, and Karolina Kurkova.

Anyway, it's not half as distracting as the dude around here who has Jessica Alba's ass in his signature.

That's the only reason we let DaRizzle around here.

I'd say that Oden will average 16/10/3blks/1.5assists; aldridge will be 18/7.5/2blks/2 assists; Roy 22/5/.8blks/4assists

Roy 19.6 pts / 5. 8 rebs / 6.4 ass

Aldridge 19.8 pts / 7.4 rebs / 2.2 ass

Oden 13.1 pts / 10.9 rebs / 2.1 ass

51 wins

Roy - 19.1 ppg. / 5.3 rpg. / 6.4 apg.

Aldridge - 20.3 ppg. / 7.9 rpg. / 1.8 apg.

Oden - 14.3 ppg. / 9.5 rpg. / 1.9 apg.

50 wins

I'll play.

Brandon Roy: 21.4 ppg, 4.5 rpg, 6.4 apg
LaMarcus Aldridge: 19.5 ppg, 8.5 rpg, 2.1 apg
Greg Oden: 14.7 ppg, 10.4 rpg, 2.5 apg

Win total: 52 wins

It's just to remind you that he's a porn star. I'm not kidding.

edit - "retired" porn star.

Brandon Roy: 20.3 ppg, 4.8 rpg, 5.2 apg
LaMarcus Aldridge: 21 ppg, 8.3 rpg, 1.8 apg
Greg Oden: 13.5 ppg, 10.1 rpg, 2.1 apg

Win total: 51 wins

Has he been in anything I would have seen? Link?

I believe I made a mistake. I was referring to Tlong, and I guess Jessica Alba is in DaRizzle's signature.

BTW, kind of strange you want to watch a porn to see if you know the guy...that's really [remark deleted].

Lol, I wish I knew what you wrote before it was censored. Either way, you obviously missed the fact that I was joking. Sorry for the confusion, comrade.

Cool game. My stab:

Roy - 17 ppg. / 4.0 rpg. / 6 apg.

Aldridge - 18 ppg. / 9 rpg. / 1.3 apg.

Oden - 15 ppg. / 11 rpg. / 1.2 apg.

54 wins

BTW--not meaning to criticize, but would mind freezing row 5? That way the heading would stay constant as you scroll down. Much easier to read.
Just go to Tools -> Freeze rows -> Freeze row 5.

Good tip. I'm not sure if google docs will reflect such a chance, but I just made it in my master spread sheet. I'll post an updated version soon.

Yeah, what the hell is up with censorship here...oh wait, I forgot that I added the [expletive deleted] remark myself

I'm gonna bump this to the front page to see if anyone else wants to play along, and to point out to you, anonymous gambler, that I still need a win predictions from you.

Sure, why not:

Roy: 17.2 ppg, 7 rpg, 9 apg
LA: 22 ppg, 7 rpg, 1.2 bpg
Oden: 11 ppg, 11 rpg, 1.8 bpg.

win total: 48
