The Reno Bighorns opened the second half on a 25-6 run and cruised to a 117-93 win over Sioux Falls on Thursday afternoon at the NBA Development League Showcase in the South Padre Island Convention Centre.
Leading by 10 at the break, Reno made 11 of its first 15 second-half shots to blow the game open. The Bighorns' 44-point third-quarter outburst marked their highest single-quarter point total this season and tied the second highest in Reno franchise history.
Reno was led by Anthony Richardson, who finished with a season-high 23 points and seven rebounds. Golden State Warriors assignee Jeremy Lin added 22 points, while Mo Charlo chipped in with 14 points and five rebounds.
Maureece Rice poured in 21 points for Sioux Falls, which lost its 11th-straight game. Six Skyforce players finished in double-figures, but the Bighorns defense forced 24 turnovers en route to their third win in their last four games.
Reno finished the 2011 NBA D-League Showcase with a 2-0 record, while Sioux Falls completed their Showcase with an 0-2 mark.
Reno returns home on Jan. 15 and 16 against the Texas Legends.
