I'm a big fan of the addition to Cory Jez to the broadcast.
And I love it when Neil Everett is on the pre/post game show.

I'd love it if I didn't have to steal the broadcast online.

I'm actually kind of enjoying saving the 60 bucks a month

I didn't mind paying the 30 bucks for evoca. It's a shame the NBA doesn't do a model where you can just buy a teams broadcast and pay a certain $ a month, and there are no blackouts.

Calabro makes so many mistakes it's hard to watch. Might be time for a youth movement....The bit last night "Sharpes a rookie. he'll learn about blocking out" was probably the dumbest thing I've heard in years. He WAS blocking out, got shoved OB but gets no ref respect, and nobody else on our team seems to have greater focus on that issue.

Lamar has settled down into good analyst, but I did enjoy the Michael Holton sub stretch because we got just a bit more frankness and realism about what the Blazers were doing to hurt their chances. The team edict sunshine and unicorn thing gets pretty old.

Such a tired ass argument. He’s on of the best in the biz. I’d bet most teams would fire whoever they have to get calabro.
Michael Holton?? I’m so glad we will never watch a blazer game together.

Interestingly enough the MLS is doing just that starting in 2 weeks.

It seems like a money making proposition.

I really doubt the # of people who would buy it (myself included) would cancel their regular cable/tv provider.

Calabro is unacceptable. As the play-by-play man, he fails to tell us what the ruling is when the Refs take the ball away from the Blazers, does not keep up with substitutions, does not announce the elements of foul calls (who, how many fouls, reason for foul, team foul number, or point of dispute), makes mistakes in who made baskets and plays (crediting Simons instead of Dame), misreads scores and statistics, and makes irrelevant non-BB comments. He often slips up and says Seattle instead of Portland, gets in the way of the co-commentator, and wastes valuable time talking about his food preferences instead of announcing the game.

The radio Blazer broadcasts are strongly superior to the TV giving much more information the way it should be. Let's consider the radio play-by-play talent for the TV job!

I bet if calabro could swish some damn 3s you'd sing a different tune!

I refuse to pay Comcast an extra 50 for one channel
You know you don't have to do that right? Multiple packages have Root & Root+. I added HBO which my family watches and Root is in the package.
Blazers for free.
Thanks.

Yeah its like 30 to add cable, 10 for the package, and 10 for the "regional sports fee." But maybe if I was a new customer instead of 20 years loyal it'd all be just $5.

It was just under $20 for the package on top of the basic. I think i was paying the broadcast fee already? All in all my bill is about $100 for internet and cable.
We use it. I get every game plus movies and all the "Baby Shark Doo Doo do do dodo" i can watch.
Comcast is a racket. I get that, but for my time and money It's honestly the easiest and best option for me. For while i was trying to just go internet and not use cable. I ended up a little less with the Disney and Hulu package but it was tough to get games. I could do it but i was watching on my laptop. That kinda sucked.
Seriously It's just my preference. I'm lazy about TV when i get a chance to watch it. Pretty much the only thing i watch is news, Blazers and a movie/series show when i have time.

Calabro needs to STFU about non-basketball stuff, like going on and on about some restaurant's menu and salivating on his microphone while informing us he likes toast. Just STFU.

Lamar needs to talk less, unless what he's saying is actually insightful.

The producers need to stop missing plays because they are showing someone running up the floor for way too long, showing replays for way too long, or showing someone on the sidelines. Stop it.

Thank you.

Yeah, that bugged me too. I pay a lot of attention to Shaedon and one thing I have noticed is that he always looks for someone to box out and he's always putting a body on someone when a shot goes up.

My Root sports channel on Spectrum Cable is fuzzy, compressed, maybe 360p quality, not even close to HD

I also listen to games on radio, and the Blazers radio guy screams like a banshee for no reason which scares the crap outta my cat.

How many replays, interviews, sideline reports overlap live action? We often miss what's happening on the court. At least the Cory Jez yapfests got moved to PiP, so his extended nerd blabs don't take plays away from the viewing audience.

Camera views are the worst I've seen this season. They'll switch over to the baseline cam while he's following the top of a blurry head walking towards the bench.

The worst for me is refusal to show opponent replays. They've improved a little bit this season. Last year they all out banned opponent replays. As a basketball fan, I like cool highlights no matter who does it.

Exactly - I'm paying $220 a month for Comcast, plus several other streaming services. Now MLS wants me to pay more? I love the Timbers but not sure I'm gonna do it.

I forgot about the full court overhead cam. God I hate the overhead cam. It's a stupid gimmick that I'm guessing they have to use several times a game to justify the cost, IDK. For me it's only useful for the occasional replay, but please God not during live action.

It would be great if they never used the overhead shot during the game so that I actually knew what was happening.

It would also be great if they would actually show the game when the game is happening, instead of me missing a part of play (or the entire possession!) while they show the announcers talking, show worthless tweets about something stupid, replays of a previous play, etc... If the game is currently taking place, that's what should be on the fucking screen. I'm surprised I have to even mention something so obvious.

It’s really crazy they fired Mike and Mike. Rice was getting annoying but such an ego move by the organization

Your cat needs to keep its head on a swivel

The radio guy is great calling the games, but he definitely has a face for radio. That man is winning NO beauty contests.
