He'd be a solid upgrade at wing over Dorell Wright. Carter made $3,180,000 last year. 37 years old. I can't imagine that he's our #1 target in Free Agency. I wouldn't think the BAE of $2.1M would be enough to get him, and I wouldn't want to waste any of our MLE to get him. Hopefully we focus our MLE efforts on a Big or PG.

Not sure what I think about this; he was solid last year but SG is our teams deepest position with Lillard, CJ, Wes, Batum, Wright, Barton, Crabbe, and Mo if he resigns all able to play.

If I thought there was a Mavs swingman free agent that we might target I would've guessed the Matrix. Played with Stotts on the title team, could be paid closer to the full MLE. Provides defense. Won't turn 37 until next seasons playoffs.

Damn, I read the thread title and thought it was going to like that Discovery Channel documentary, Life After People.

Actually, I think that if he was on a cheap deal, he could fill in nicely in that Batum role in the first unit of being a quasi-distributor next to Lillard. Lillard would play much better next to him than Mo, and the defense would be a huge step up.

This could free up Batum to be a playmaker whenever Dame isn't on the floor. I think we wouldn't need to get Mo as badly with Vince here. It's all about the type of contract he'd be willing to sign.

An offseason of adding Vince and Channing Frye while not bringing back Mo would be fine by me.
