The Blazers have been remarkable this season, as all of you know, but especially the last few weeks against teams much bigger than them. They beat Bynum, Shaq, and Howard, just to name a few.
The last win was tremendous, and not too much of a surprise. To win, all the Blazers needed to do was contain Howard, and of course hope Orlando is cold from three. Both transpired. When Howard was taken out of the game early, the Magic didn't seemingly nothing except hoist threes, many of which were off. And late, they had no choice but to keep chucking to have a chance to get back into contention.
But my point is that they aren't getting the credit they deserve. For most of the season they have played without a center. What do they do? Keep winning. On TNT, there was a list of injury-plagued top-tier teams. It was a list of ten, and the Blazers weren't one of them. This is an outrage, and a heaping pile of ignorance. They're winning without their best player! They won with his replacement scoring one point! Amazing, and no one cares to notice.
Hubie Brown sung the Blazers praise on the ESPN telecast of Friday's earlier game, saying what many media outlets haven't. Exclaiming that Portland has been decimated, but still, backed by McMillan, continues to move right along.
I find it remarkable what the Blazers are doing, but even more so that they aren't getting much credit for it. Oh, sure the fan base knows how incredible they have been. Brown knows. So does Van Gundy, but the rest of the basketball world needs to know.
If you want to read about this extraordinary team, including gamely recaps and analysis, including videos and quotes, you can check out my site here: http://fanhuddle.com/portlandtrailblazers/

I hope you enjoy my work and, more importantly, continue to enjoy the Blazers!
