Nico needs to lobby hard this summer for Boris to come to Portland

Say what?!?! Your link is only the NBC sports main page. I see no article or link that supports this rumor.

This is what I found...

Joe Freeman: Source: #Blazers have strong interest in signing a stretch 4. Spencer Hawes, Boris Diaw & Josh McRoberts among those they will pursue. Twitter @BlazerFreeman

Paul Garcia: Like I said on a radio show recently, I think it's a 80-90% chance Diaw re-signs. Patty staying IMO is about 65-70%. Twitter @PaulGarciaPS

I keep trying to cut and paste the link but it's under Probasketball talk titled free agents teams will pursue with Kevin Love article at the top. It isn't cutting and pasting for some reason, I'll keep trying

I think the link I just pasted should get you guys there

Sure make a call. It can't hurt. But I would focus on players we have a legitimate shot at. There is no incentive for Diaw to make a move. He bounced around enough until he found the right fit.

try again mags, I think I fixed it

Yeah it worked, but it's just a rumor of another team that is showing interest in Diaw. I doubt it's nothing more than asking our GM "Hey what you think of Diaw?" and Olshey response "He's a fine player with vet experience, we would be interested if the price is right"

I'm not against Diaw, but there are other guys that I would rather see us sign. He isn't a center.

At this point in free agency, everything could be just a rumor unless a meeting has happened but the Nico connection is a real good starting point. Diaw to me is one of the most underrated multi position players in the league and he's 34 so he's got a choice to end his career on a team with a bright future as Duncan, Ginoble and Parker are around the corner from retirement. I'm optimistic.

If Aldridge, Lillard and Batum are all better at this point than Duncan, Parker and Manu, then maybe Diaw is the missing piece. Instant contenders

Spurs set the bar, sure. Great team, great coach, Leonard is great but Diaw is a free agent and the idea is to get better than them as soon as possible right? Diaw would be a great fit on this team.

The good thing about making a run at Boris Diaw is that it's a soft impact.
