I don't know how I missed this from a couple weeks ago, but apparently select games are being broadcast this season in virtual reality, including tomorrow's game against Phoenix.

Any of you guys have Samsung phones and a Samsung Gear VR headset? If so, you can be one of the first to watch the Blazers in VR.

Got another chance in 2 weeks when they play in New York, as well as two more chances in February (7th and 23rd). Gotta say, I wonder what these VR broadcasts are supposed to be like.

I already mentioned this in the real game thread.

Geez...

In Virtual Reality Meyers is actually good.

And the Blazer's defense is awesome!

I actually just happened to have bought a Samsung VR so I will have to check this out. I doubt I will watch the whole game that but I am curious to see how it looks.

Did you actually do this? Can we get a review?

So I have no idea what this VR is all about. How will the game look different? Make you feel like you are sitting there in the stands or what? I was just sent these in the mail and they said I have to wear them all day at work!

You know how on TNT/ESPN games, some players get miked up? The NBA should have a player wear the VR cameras, so that you can experience the game like an actual player on the court.

Went over and checked it out in their truck with the glasses on. NO WAY I could watch a whole game like that, I'd get sick.

Ok, very, very cool. Some of the angles and being that close to the players is amazing. Some of the angles are like sitting in the court on the ground where the players sit before checking in. My 2 complaints are that the clarity isn't that great and that my phone gets way hot and there is no way that I could watch the whole game for that reason.

Cool to hear. I'm sure that over time these kinds of issues will be fixed. I'd like to try it out sometime. The hermit in me is looking forward to not ever leaving my house some time.
