Celts or Cavs might make the Finals but the Suns are a given out of the West.

I'm enjoying watching the Suns. Fun team to root for...except for Amare...but he's more tolerable now.

So, in a way...if the Suns win the championship...then really the BLAZERS are the true champions. In a way. Kindof.

Right?

You should always be around to decode KS posts

The negative haters are going to hate this post, but here it goes...

The Spurs are having the exact same problems we had against the Suns. Now lets look at the blame the negative posters put on players and coaches and see if it holds true:

1) We're way bigger than them, we should be out-rebounding them, there is no excuse not to. Spurs are a great rebounding team, just like we are.

2) We got out coached big time, Phoenix always had a mismatch they were exploiting. The substitutions and lineups were very questionable.

3) How hard is it to defend their perimeter shooters? All they do is stand out their and launch, we can't help out on them.

4) We need to take advantage of them inside and make them pay for being smaller.

I don't think anyone here thinks Coach Pop is a bad coach, the Spurs have a horrible PF, or a low basketball IQ. What this series proves is that the Suns are a much more difficult matchup than the haters are willing to realize. Nate and Aldridge aren't near as bad as everyone wants to make them out to be. The Suns have a wonderful roster and a great system, but having a two-time MVP, the 2nd half MVP, two more all-stars, and you surround them with 3pt shooting defenders, you're going to have a tough time matching up against them.

Ok KS... sometimes I can't tell if you're being serious or not. Some people on this board say "hahaha you all think KS is being serious when he is obviously joking" but I honestly can't tell. Are all your predictions serious predictions or are you just being funny sometimes?

Suns will sweep the Jazz in the WCF.

have you been hanging around Mixum again?

Great Post. Hater's can't handle the truth.

And I think it reinforces the opinion of the people who believe a healthy Blazers team can compete for a western conference championship.

The Spurs have their top 3 guns going, the Blazers were missing Roy and Oden, and Batum's shoulder seems like it was injured pretty badly.

The Blazers roster is fine for the most part and so are the coaches. I wish people would realize this, instead of always thinking there's something better out there.

I'm pulling for the Suns. Except for the Lakers, I usually root for whomever beats us. Plus, they're not such bad dudes.

Two more All Stars??? Who?

Two more All Stars??? Who?

I believe Grant Hill and Jason Richardson were both all-stars. I could be wrong about Richardson. He's playing like an all-star regardless. Grant Hill was a HOF if not injured, and has a top 10 basketball IQ.

Don't think J-Rich ever played in the all star game

I'm guessing he means Grant Hill and.... and... Idk...

You're right, the Rookie Challenge MVP and multiple Dunk Contest championships got me confused that he was actually in the all-star game. If they chose all-stars from this playoffs, he'd certainly be on there!

You're referring to the Blazers back when they had Steve Blake, right?

Lakers were 3-1 against the Suns this year...and up 2-0 on the Jazz so....yeah....

Regular season means nothing. The Suns are an entirely different beast in the playoffs.

Regular season means nothing....except if it has to do with the Blazer beating the Suns.....riiiiiiight

Blazers beating them = relevant
Lakers beating them= irrelevant

I must be getting old, but I fail to see how the Suns beating the Spurs is supposed to make me feel better?

I agree with most of this. But I'm still not convinced Nate will be capable of getting enough out of our talent (when healthy) to be a dominant team.

Watching the way the Lakers and Jazz play offense makes me really question WTF we are trying to accomplish on the offensive end. We have no motion, no synchronized movement, no plays getting the ball to people moving to the hoop. We rely almost purely on iso's. And those are easy to defend scheme against.

IMO, if we ran an offense like the Lakers or Jazz, when we are healthy, we would have a deadly offensive team. And I am confident our defense will be strong.
