I'm not sure how much this is really going to help. The management is likely (and yes, this is speculation on my part) not going to allow those with drug or alcohol problems inside their facility, and that's pretty much the biggest problem with most people who are homeless. Not to mention their criminal records.

I visited Seattle back in December when my father and I went to the Seattle 49er Faithful Fanclub with members from our Portland Club. I was absolutely jaw-dropped shocked by how bad the homeless problem is there. They are EVERYWHERE, and so is the pollution.

Seattle has a LOT of work to do.

Worse than Portland?!? I couldn't believe all of the tents on sidewalks I saw there.

You know...I drove through tranny avenue in Portland last week with my father on our way home from the game. There were homeless tents on the sidewalk, but nothing like Seattle. In Seattle, they have entire parking lots filled with old broken-down campers and tents, with shopping carts filled with garbage. And they're pretty much everywhere; in the newer-developed areas of town and in the older parts of town.

It was pretty shocking. I've never seen homelessness that bad. It makes me seriously wonder what the fuck Seattle's government is doing up there.

Dealing with stuff like this, I would guess.

Don't they have this in Chinatown?

Vancouver has the worst fucking junkie/homeless area ever. East Hastings. Fucking cess pool of drugs and disease.

......holy shit. Yeah, I guess that's a big reason why nothing is getting done. Unfortunately, Seattle has a BIG nutbag population. Portland has it's nutbags, but Seattle takes the cake with sheer lunacy.

Are Portland's homeless pretty aggressive?

Aren't there a bunch of street kids too?

Seattle is pretty shitty homeless population. SF is probably worse they shit all over the sidewalks. LA has a horrible homeless problem, they just set up tents everywhere nowadays.

San Francisco got so bad a few years ago, that light poles were corroding and falling over from bums urinating on them.

A rock and roll billionaire ....it was only a matter of time before he became a slumlord!

So, Mr. Allen gives a chunk of change to house people and the 100st Fighting Keyboardists are all out saying it won't work, waste, etc. How much have you donated? How much time have you volunteered to help solve social problems?

How about pledging $30 million in luxury tax so we can cut our losses on some of these tools and get some real players to go with Dame, CJ, and Nurk?

all of my time actually. by not giving them anything, i'm attempting to motivate them to do something for themselves. it's all you enablers that are throwing a wrench into my plan.

This is a growing issue here too though. Be nice if he did something(if he hasn't already) for Portland. On the east side you cant go one main street to the next without seeing broken down/beat up motor homes full of homeless groups. You cant pass under one 205 overpass without seeing tents and grocery carts.
It's getting really bad.
