Key words: "We'll have to wait and see what happens." haha
Key words: "We'll have to wait and see what happens." haha
Q: How did things go today?
A: "I think the workout went good. It's good to come in here and show these guys what I can do and we'll have to wait and see what happens."
Q: Where have you worked out so far and where do you plan on going after Portland?
A: Before Portland: Charlotte, Chicago, New Orleans and Utah.
Next up: Indiana, Atlanta, New Jersey.
Q: What do you think you bring to the league and the Blazers?
A: "I think I'd be kind of a banger, bring a lot of defense and intensity in whatever I do. I have a good midrange jump shot and a lot of defense. So we'll see what happens."
Q: Specifically, how would you fit in Portland?
A: "I think it would be really good. I think they have a lot of finesse players, and stuff like that, and they could use a guy like myself."
Q: How do you answer who say you lack the athleticism to succeed in the NBA?
A: "I don't really care about them. I'm pretty athletic, so I mean, what do you want me to do? I can't shut them up. I can only do what I do and we'll just have to wait and see what happens."
Q: How much have you heard about the culture of the Blazers and how they value that?
A: "I know they've made some big strides, doing a lot better. Looks like they're on the right track and I think they're doing really good. Have to wait and see what happens."
Q: Have you gotten a sense that any team seems interested in you based on feedback or workouts?
A: "Not really sure at this point. Like I said, I lot of things can happen on draft night."
Q: How was the feedback today?
A: "I haven't really talked to them, just finished the workout, so I'll probably talk to them later and see what they think."
Q: How did your workout go today?
A: "I felt very confident. I think I did some good things. I think I had a good overall workout."
Q: What did they have you do?
A: "We did a lot of different stuff. We did some three on three, some other drills, so it was good overall."
Q: One thing the Blazers are looking to address is their toughness, which seems to be something you can help with. Can you talk about that?
A: "That's definitely something I bring to the table. I'm a very tough player and also I can play a lot of defense and guard other bangers. We'll see what happens."
Q: They call you Psycho T. Where'd you get the nickname?
A: Laughs. "Oh our strength coach (at North Carolina) gave me that. It's really caught on. It's something that's really gotten out of hand a little bit, but whatever."
Q: You have any idea where you might be selected, what range in the draft?
A: "I'm not sure right now. There's a lot of different speculation. Some people have me going early, some people have me late. We'll see what happens."
Q: Does that keep you in the dark, bother you a little bit?
A: "Not necessarily. I think there's a lot of people out there and you just never know what can happen on draft night, a lot of teams may trade or move up or down or whatever."
Q: You get the feeling that one team has shown more interest than the others have?
A: "Not right now."
Q: Talk about your decision not to enter the draft earlier in your career. Every year there was debate and you decided to stay in school.
A: "I enjoyed college and ultimately it worked out for me, I think. Winning a national championship was really good."
Q: How did Jeff Pendergraph look today?
A: "I think Pendergraph is a good player. I think he's tough. I think he brings a lot to the team."
Q: Do you know much about Portland as a city?
A: "Not much. This is my first time being here. But I like the way it looks and everything."
Q: Have you worked out with Darren Collison before?
A: "No. He was really impressive today. I think he did a lot of good things."
Q: What does he offer?
A: "'I think he's a tough point guard and he can play defense."
