It might be copyright infringement, but I haven't seen the Blazers themselves put together anything close to this. I could see how it's touchy for some of the people that are involved in the production crews, but I would take it as a compliment. He's basically taken the great camera work of the production crew and made a compilation. There would be no need for these if the Blazers decided to make one themselves that rivaled it.

Great piece.

If they did shut him down, they'd be shooting themselves in the foot. It'd be like hammering RipCityTwo.com every time one of us posted a Blazers' logo. Sure, it's infringement, but there's no harm and actually a benefit to having your product used in such a way.

If I worked for the Blazers, I'd hire the guy as a freelancer. Tell him to make a new one each week, from preseason through the playoffs, to put on Blazers.com. Pay him $1000/each. (It's really way too little, but he's doing it right now for free, so he'd be probably love the recognition and the bonus dough.) That's about $35k/year, or less than they spend on a couple of ushers.
 
I might be wrong, but I'd be willing to bet that was the video that Nate showed the players recently. I think Quick mentioned it in one of his articles. The way it was described in the article was that it had moments from the season that featured each player. Just like this.

Maybe a rough cut; the music isn't what the article said it was, and there's a couple clips from the OKC game, which is after that game.

Me too. Freaking a. I downloaded it, and left it going while I had to go out for a couple of hours. The downloaded version doesn't work on my computer, and the online version is no longer up. Hope this gets back on at some point.

I'm sure he's finding a better site to host it. I tried downloading it but it stopped 25% in...
 
Maybe he got arrested for using other peoples highlights.
