While the color commentator position on the TV side has been filled there is no announcement on who is going to be fill Antonio Harvey's job and be the color commentator for the radio broadcast. The only mention so far is that the Blazers were looking at Brian Grant to do some of the games. I think Brian Grant would be great along side Wheels but I think he should do all the games. The Blazer radio broadcasters are better with a 2 person team all of the time.

It's better but also not necessary. Team could save 100k easily just by not having a color commentator for radio on the road. Wheels can handle it on his own I'm sure.

Brian Grant should just take over Tone's old schedule and partner up...would be great if he can handle the road life.

I voted all the games, but what really matters is what Wheels thinks. I'm sure he'd do a fantastic job by himself, but I suspect that given the choice, Wheels would choose BG eight days a week. Assuming BG's health is up to the grind, of course.

All the games, if Wheels wants him. Wheels is them and!

I thought Wheels was just going to do it himself.?

Maybe Wheels can teach Grant to be an announcer, and Grant can teach Wheels the jump hook.

I don't have anything to support this, but I'd question whether someone with advanced Parkinsons would be able to, or would want to, put up with the rigors of the Blazers' travel schedule. I'd love to hear Brian do the home games and maybe the Blazers could have a rotating group of former players cover the road games.

I chose only some. ONLY because I would like to hear how Wheels does all on his own. I think he will own it. :)

I really don't think we should be voting on this - out of respect for Brian Grant. Home games, sure. I'd love that, but not road games. Forget the Parkinson's for a minute. Brian Grant has 7 kids and after he retired from the NBA he stated he wanted to spend as much time as possible with his kids since he wasn't always able to be there for them during his playing days. Doesn't matter what we, the fans want. It's his decision and based on his past comments, I think going back on the road isn't something he'd choose to do. I doubt if he needs the money. He made $110 million during his playing career and never seemed to lead the kind of flashy lifestyle that would squander his earnings.

On the other hand his passion is research into curing Parkinson's ..seeing wealthy NBA players around the country is a perfect forum for him to champion his cause and he might just miss the game on that level..Parkinson's wouldn't stop him from having a broadcast job, it doesn't affect his speech...as to his kids..that's a choice he'd have to make. He may be tired of being home all the time....if it were too much, home games would be fine...I'm a fan of BG

True it doesn't matter what we, the fans, think or want. It almost never does. Doesn't stop us from talking about what we think or want, though. :)

I want what's best for Brian Grant. I want whatever he wants. Since it was a poll, I voted he only do home games, and only as many of those as he wants to do. That's just me trying to guess what might work best for him considering the circumstances, and what might work best for the Blazers considering the Blazers previously indicated they would have Wheels do games solo, and guessing also the Blazers would want to cut costs of sending a color commentator on road trips.

Mostly, I'm a big Brian Grant fan, so I'd like to listen to him comment on as many games as he and team agree to grace us with.
