QUOTE

The Nets are also excited about the progress of Josh Boone, the second-year forward who is recovering well from knee surgery.

As for the possibility of pulling off a big deal like the Celtics did, Thorn said it's unlikely. Although the Nets were close to working out a trade to acquire Jermaine O'Neal from the Pacers in June, those talks have died.

ya...we'll see what happens after the season is underway.

if luck goes our way, memphis will suck, and gasol will demand a trade (to the nets?).
