Just a FYI for those hoping for a LMA + 1 or 2 others for Bosh. The great thing about a sign and trade is it opens up opportunities to play at any team.

Nice. There will be a lot of competition out there for him though. Hell if we pull of the right trade, Toronto can just change their name to the Toronto European Softies!

I think he ends up in Miami or where ever James ends up. If it were me, I'd go to Miami. No state income tax, south beach, instant contender with Wade, and with a S&T, they would still have a butt load of money for another very good FA. Then again, Miami has absolutely nothing to offer, so they would need to get anohter team involved.

When can Aldridge be traded with his full salary? Isn't he one of those ppp players until a certain date?

Bynum + fillers ;]

I wonder if any players have the nickname "Filler".

Keith Van Horn... the guy announced his retirement then that summer signed a 6 mil contract to be traded and then released. Nice little payday in a days work for his agent

Hoopsworld sucks.

I am sure we can sign Diener for enough cash value to make it work out!

They'd want to bring back the the prodigal son (Curry) + 4th pick :)

Not exactly, he actually announced his retirement in the summer of 2006, didn't play at all in the 06-07 season. Then in the 07-08 season he was signed in February at the trade deadline as cap filler in the Kidd trade while never playing a game.

I remember that part of the trade. How did the NBA allow that? If that isn't an example of circumventing the salary cap and the spirit of the CBA, I don't know what is. I guess the plus is that it's been money wasted for Dallas in terms of winning a title.

Bulls S&T Deng for LeBron.
Bulls S&T Hinrich to Atlanta for Johnson.
Bulls sign Bosh outright.

Lights out.

Alternate, equally realistic scenario:

Blazers trade sign-and-trade Rudy Fernandez for LeBron James.
Blazers trade sign-and-trade Travis Diener for Chris Bosh.

Lights out!

We should both totally be GMs. We have this thing figured out.

The rumor is S&T Deng for LeBron. This leaves the Bulls with cap space to sign another FA outright. I'd think LeBron would be a decent attraction (plus the money) to a UFA.

The Hinrich for Johnson deal is one I'm told Atlanta would be all over it. Not sure they would, especially if the Bulls did the S&T for LeBron. But Atlanta is going to lose Johnson for nothing otherwise.

C'mon Denny, this is stupid. Life can't be that easy for us Bulls fans.

I would let them pick from Monta, Biedrins, Randolph, Wright, 2010 pick (slotted at #4 right now).

As a Raptor fan i would love either one of these trades (Bynum is the other, MUCH better than Aldrige+whatever). However the problem is that since this is a sign and trade, Bosh also needs to agree. I dont think he would really want to go to GS and i don't know if there would be enough balls to go around in LA with Bosh there.

Well considering out of LA and Bosh, Bosh is the only one with balls I don't think that is a concern.:evilfire:

The rumor is S&T Deng for LeBron.

Basing your off-season scenario on a rumour that's clearly not going to happen, since it makes zero sense for Cleveland, isn't exactly sound.

Just like Cleveland would be better off letting James walk or dealing him to another team (with cap space) for nothing but draft picks, rather than chaining themselves to the Deng contract, Atlanta would be doubly better off letting Johnson walk (or trading him to a team with cap space for a TPE/draft picks) rather than taking on Hinrich. As disappointing as Hinrich was the couple of seasons before this one, he got even worse this year.

I understand the desire to deal only your "garbage" (relatively speaking; I think Deng is decent, but compared to LeBron James...) for quality, but it never works that way.

I don't understand why he requires a S&T then. He can opt out and become a UFA right? Then he can choose out of any teams that have cap space (assuming they wouldn't hesitate to sign him) and he wouldn't deplete his new team of players, picks, prospects, etc. that it would cost to acquire him. I know he can get some more money in a S&T but it isn't that much more right? And if, for whatever reason, it HAS to be a S&T then the Raps do have some leverage right?

He probably wouldn't want to come to GS though... Unless he REALLY likes Steph Curry lol.

Because he wants it all. He wants as much money as he can get, he wants a good team, and he wants to be the #1 guy. He wants it all. I have read many interviews with Bosh where he says he doesn't want to be the #2 guy on where he goes to. If he sticks to that, it pretty much shoots holes in most of the rumors out there as to who he is going to play with for what reason.

I believe Raptors are the only team that can offer him 6 years and 30 mil more. Which means more money and security.

Well that rules out the Bynum deal because he wouldn't be top dog on the Lakers. He also wouldn't be the guy anywhere with LeBron or Wade, arguably Joe Johnson. There's not a whole lot of winning teams out there with a player who wouldn't be the top guy over Bosh. Bosh was the guy in Toronto and the Raps sucked even with some pretty good talent around him at times (at least for the eastern conference).

The W's have the money to give and resources to acquire him. They sucked ass last year but had one of the most injury plagued season of any team in NBA history. Seems like a possibility that Bosh could see a winning team where hes the #1 guy, Curry the #2 and some decent pieces left over that weren't traded to get him.

I won't get my hopes up though lol.

Ya mago is right, It's 30 mil more. Personally, I've come to terms since we missed the playoffs that Bosh is gone. He spent 7 years here and nothing really happened, so it's time to move on. The Warriors idea would be best for me.
