I called into 911 once and they took me seriously, but police still didn't arrive until 2 hours later. I was in a poor neighborhood of Portland, OR at the time though, that probably had something to do with it.

What the fuck is that about? When I was 2 years old I had to call the police because my father was drunk and assaulting my mother with a gun. They took that shit seriously, but that is just uncalled for.
