Brandt Snedeker, fresh off his fifth PGA Tour victory Sunday at the AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am, announced Tuesday that he will not play in the first World Golf Championship event of the year.
The No. 4-ranked player in the world, Snedeker cited sore ribs as his reason for missing the upcoming tournament that will be played Feb. 20-24 in Marana, Ariz.
