Something Cho-related is going down this week.....but he can't talk about it.

That might be it, except he already announced that he's selected two asst. GMs and was going to wait to announce until he got the contractual details worked out.

This is Brian Smith, so he hasn't had years to disappoint us with needless buildup and no payoff yet, so there might be something here.
 
Smith seems to be a lot more responsible with his reporting to this point. The announcement of the two asst. GMs would seem to be expected and not really news. I'm guessing it is something more. But anything could be "Cho related".

The assistant GMs have been announced, but we haven't been told who they are. I'm guessing the identity-reveal is it.

The wording "Cho-related" and not "Blazers-related" is why I think this is where this is going, as they are going to be his assistants. Players, imho, would be "Blazers-related".

Actually maybe it's personal. My guess is that he's getting his braces removed early but wants to wait until his orthodontist tells him for sure.

Only in Portland would naming assistant GM's be hyped as news days before.
 
I just listened to the W@W podcast at the end of hour 2 and Brian Smith said he's sworn to secrecy about Cho's new assistants ... so I'd say it's definitely news on this front

Dude, the only hype is coming from this board. Smith was on Wheels at Work and Kenny Vance asked about the assistant gm positions and if Smith knew who they were going to be. Brian T said he did but couldn't say yet as it would be announced later this week. It wasn't a big deal, nor was his piece of info that he was passing along. Simply Brian T Smith answering Kenny's question

Yes, but he seemed to be alluding to something else, as well. Perhaps I was reading too much into that, though.

On a serious note, I'm hearing they are clamping down on the "leaks" from now on. BUT.................. I was informed that if you were to listen to somebody in the media there is a new golden boy and he is....... Brian T. Smith. No joke on this one.

I think this thread made me read way too much into the end of courtside tonight. But it almost seemed like they were predicting a Miller trade for another PG. Like it was a fore gone conclusion that Miller would be traded by Cho.
