Esteban Loaiza popped with 44 pound of heroin and coke. Now in jail on 200,000 bail. I guess his baseball pension fell a bit short of supporting his current lifestyle.

this kind of stuff, i.e. Veterans who blow their life earnings, and/or those who don't have a penny after a few years of exorbant salaries....

44 Mil $$$ and not a penny to show for it, what a fkng shame. Guess that's what happens to those who don't plan for a future after the gravy train departs. Geezus, give me a single Million bucks, and me and the Mrs would be set for life, let alone 44 mil. These guys so often live beyond their means. Loaiza's mentality is so typical of the 3rd world place of his birth, i.e. Tijuana.

Guess he should go back to TJ, once he's out of the Pen, buy a cheap white jackass, spray paint black stripes on it, then ask 5$ from tourists to have a polaroid pics taken sitting atop of a TJ Zebra-Ass, (no shit) there's one on every corner of Revolution Blvd....

T-town, made a few trips there when I lived in San Diego. Read today that MLB Service of 43 days can get a player on a 34, 000 pension plan. One day of service gets them health care. Ten years of service can up that pension to 100,000 K per annum. I don't know when that pension kicks in after a player has retired but damn even the minimum is good. 28, 300 per month.

He probably ended up getting on the bad side of some cartel.
