I seriously find it hard to believe that nobody would want Namestnikov at 4 million with one year on his contract. If that is true then it's not hard to understand why most teams suck year after year. So at worst you get a 30+ point role player who plays defense with 1 year on his deal and nobody wants that? Especially with a ton of teams out there with no depth. If GM's are seriously that cranky that they would rather see the Rangers have to buy players out to make cap room than improve their team by taking one of their players, then those GM's should be fired immediately by ownership. I've said it for years. 95% of all GM's in sports are morons with no vision or clue now to build a team.

I hate LB as much as the next guy but he was absolutely not suggesting they do this. He was saying it in the context of they've tried everything to trade him, and what else can they do add a first rounder? Of course not, hence the buyout argument. Let's be fair here.
