American R&B singer Charmayne Maxwell, of the group Brownstone, has died in a freak accident in her home after reportedly falling and cutting her neck on a wine glass on Friday.
Her grief-stricken younger brother Brandon Maxwell broke the news on Twitter on Saturday evening and was quickly followed by fellow Brownstone member Teisha Brown.
Brandon Maxwell also contradicted a tweeted link claiming his 46-year-old sister had committed suicide. "Some people are so dumb. This is just BS," he wrote.
