No, but he had more health issues than Durant even back then. Even today, I absolutely think drafting Oden, based on the information back then, was the right choice, but I can't deny that there were some less-than-ideal things about Oden's history even to that point.
What's happened since then was not predictable, but may well stem from Oden just having a fragility that we can now, with hindsight, say had manifested in small ways before. This isn't a "Oden was just a ticking time bomb at the time of drafting" argument but more of a "Perhaps everything we now know, going back to before he was drafted, tells us that Oden just has health issues and would have with any medical staff."
I don't know this for certain, but I find it hard to say conclusively that the Blazers' medical staff fucked it all up.
