I counted at least 5 to 7 stupid passes that make no sense by this clown. Please replace him with Lafeniere

This team doesn’t understand the concept of a body check

God you're a joke. The guy has been one of our best forwards. I am actually starting to believe you are not really a Rangers fan and are simply a troll for years. I mean I am not sure what you have ever shown to truly say you are a Rangers fan. You make up ridiculous trades that never ever happen, you knock the coach every 2 years, and you rip a high % of the players very often. Not sure what else there is to say.

They let the scrub line score tonight. Then again the Isles 4th line is better than the Rangers 1st Line

What does tonight have to do with being soft? Guess what our issues are - a C to replace Strome, and our 3rd D pair is awful. 1st Isles goal was an awful play by Hajek. Not going to kill the kid for a bad play, but that's what happened. And the 2nd Isles goal was Bitetto leaving Martin wide open in front. Again not going to kill the kid, but that's what happened. Shocker our 3rd D pair is weak.

And 0-0 late into the 3rd, which team do you favor. The team that thrives on this, or the team that is young and still learning how to play games like this. Is what it is right now. Plus we cannot beat Varlamov.

The Isles 4th line is not better than our 1st line. The Isles 4th line is better than our 3rd pair D though.

Rangers lost a hard fought game, because we cannot beat their goalie, and our 3rd D pair is weak. Get ready for 50 posts from 5 people about why we suck, everyone sucks, the coach sucks and everyone should be fired. We win, and nothing. We lose and 5 guys rip everything with post after post. And go...

The team as a whole just isn't generating enough offense in alot of these games.

Zibanejad and Panarin needed to convert their breakaways. Bad pass leads to a goal for the Islanders and that's the game.
No injuries though!

Live and learn for Hajek, but he's been ok since his call up. Zibanejad continues to basically be a zombie.

One good thing about Bitetto playing is if he hits 19g they can expose him i believe.

dump, I completely agree on Buch. I was counting too. He killed 2 plays on the same power play, and I counted two blind passes which were just dumb.

Howden is horrible. How is he still on this team? Replace him with anyone, I don't even care who.

On the bright side, Miller is a big surprise. He gets better with every period. Amazing! What a pick that one was.

They played well. Yes, they are soft, but overall it wasn't a bad game. Buchnevich has to come off the 1st PP unit. Prediction! By game #30 Quinn will realize that and finally will put Kakko instead of Buch on the 1st PP. That is how long Quinn gives veterans to prove to him that they suck.

Chuck - Buch played well 1st few games, he is not our best forward anymore. Right now Panarin playing much better than Buch. Bring Buch to a 3rd line and bring up Gouthier. Let him develop. Or move up LFA to the 1st line and bring Kreider down.

Am I the only one who thinks Howden is regressing?

Howden not regressing. Howden sucks!! How many o for PP’s do we have before our genius coach makes an adjustment like getting KAKKO on pp1 and buch off of it. It’s getting to
The time with zibamijad where someone has to kick the shit out of him. That play he screwed up on the 4 o 1 was just disgusting. Igor played well just got screwed by bad plays by our 3rd pair.

Gauthier has a good amount of ability but i haven't been too impressed with him, despite where he's been slotted.

Thing I noticed about Lafreniere is he has a chance to hammer guys time and time again and he never throws a hit. He's playing timid and showing too much respect. The coaching staff needs to show him tape and tell him to start hitting people. Along with about 8 other forwards. This team is very soft. They simply refuse to throw hard checks. That being said, they had the game on Panarin's and Zibanejad's stick 3 or 4 times but have a mental bl0ck with that goalie right now. Yes, Howden sucks. With Richards and Barron in the AHL I don't think Howden is long for this team.

Funny you post that about Lafreniere after a game where he led the team in hits. This team needs more grit. No newsflash there. I am sure that is something Gorton/JD are looking for.

As for Lafreniere, the guy has 1 point all season, a goal. Don't get me wrong, I am not knocking the kid as a young rookie, but he has not exactly came into the NHL and lit the league on fire. He will continue to improve, no doubt, but he has to get it done working with the coaches. This isn't oh the coaches are failing him. It's a two way street.

I know you guys won't do it because you love him, but how about getting on Kreider. The guy has 4 goals and zero assists (not 1 assist in 11 games). He has played maybe 3 or 4 games where he showed up, and was invisible again last night, and he has the worst +/- of any player still on the team. We gave this guy 6.5 per year for 7 seasons, and he simply has not been getting it done. I understand I will get branded as a Kreider hater, but it's simply not true. I want him to do well especially given his long term new deal, but he just doesn't bring it near enough. Again through 11 games - only 4 goals, 0 assists, and the worst +/- of players still playing on the team. Not good enough for someone you guys want to be our captain.

At least one of Lemieux or Howden will be gone to Seattle. I can't really see them taking Hajek. Guess Strome is a possibility but they may find a better C for the $$. As for Lafreniere, watching him he does seem to follow through on checking but he needs to start finding the puck more.

He needs a real head coach. This coach is death to young forwards with scoring ability. He's pitiful. He has no clue what he's doing. The fact that the players have the height and weight up front with their forwards and this team doesn't take the body at all is a reflection on their incompetent head coach.

Chuck, the way they count hits is if you accidentally brush up against someone that’s a hit. We do too much of that. Need to actually take the body and punish it. We have the size to do it just don’t do it. Coach has no confidence in laf. Playing him a shift or 2 in the last 10 minutes last 2 games is telling. Since we’re not making the playoffs this year we should be getting rid of some of the dead wood like howden and lemieux with some more kids. As I’ve been saying Quinn is over his head with his offensive philosophy if you want to call it that. We have too much talent to generate this little offense. Back to college Quinn.

News flash...the Rangers haven't been a physical team in any way for the better part of two decades.

I saw about 15 times where the Rangers brushed up against an Islander d man. Lafreniere did it at least 5 times. He's a kid. Coach him. Show him the tape. The other players like Strome, Howden, Buchnevich, Kreider, question their balls to their face. It's why I have Chuck on ignore now mrmel. You can't possibly be that stupid on this team to think they take the body. The forwards on this team are a bunch of pansies.

Wait - is Quinn in over his head on O or D? I thought it was D, now he's in over his head on O as well. Wow, he must be the worst coach in the NHL...LOL.

And of course we are not a physical team, as mentioned adding more toughness, grit, and straight line players is a focus (you can see from the recent drafts). I just find it funny that Laf was actually hitting last night and now the non-Rangers fan decides to post about Laf not being physical. That's funny.

Once again, how about some player accountability. Z has done nada, Laf has 1 point, Kreider has 0 assists and the worst +/- on the team. It is not all the coach. It is a team effort. We have been up and down thus far, which I would say shouldn't be too unexpected.

Last year the rangers scored 3.33 goals a game vs the league average of 2.97.
In fact...the 3.33 goals a game is the highest the Rangers averaged in the last 10 years.

yet Quinn is over his head?

Stats bounce off the FQK's like Teflon Al, you're wasting your fingers. 6th in the NHL hits/game but we can judge them like figure skating so actually the Rangers are last in real good hitting. If Quinn is emphasizing big hitting to the young 1st rounders he should be fired, they all need to shoot the puck more. I thought the Rangers outplayed the fishsticks most of the game but this young team needs to learn to play 60 minutes. Most of their losses have been due to a momentary lapse or two that their opponent have capitalized on.

Oh Al. You're so lost. You don't read as usual. The point was Quinn developing young forwards. Also, last year he just got stupid lucky with career years from Panarin, Strome, Zibanejad and DeAngelo. They call them career years for a reason. They don't happen often.
