KUALA LUMPUR, 20 October 2011 - On November 19-22, 2011, the trial of George W Bush (former U.S. President) and Anthony L Blair (former British Prime Minister) will be held in Kuala Lumpur. This is the first time that war crimes charges will be heard against the two former heads of state in compliance with proper legal process.

The first charge against George W Bush and Anthony L Blair is for Crimes Against Peace wherein:

The Accused persons had committed Crimes against Peace, in that the Accused persons planned, prepared and invaded the sovereign state of Iraq on 19 March 2003 in violation of the United Nations Charter and international law.

The second charge is for Crime of Torture and War Crimes against eight citizens of the United States and they are namely George W Bush, Donald Rumsfeld, Dick Cheney, Alberto Gonzales, David Addington, William Haynes, Jay Bybee and John Yoo. wherein:

The Accused persons had committed the Crime of Torture and War Crimes, in that: The Accused persons had wilfully participated in the formulation of executive orders and directives to exclude the applicability of all international conventions and laws, namely the Convention against Torture 1984, Geneva Convention III 1949, Universal Declaration of Human Rights and the United Nations Charter in relation to the war launched by the U.S. and others in Afghanistan (in 2001) and in Iraq (in March 2003); Additionally, and/or on the basis and in furtherance thereof, the Accused persons authorised, or connived in, the commission of acts of torture and cruel, degrading and inhuman treatment against victims in violation of international law, treaties and conventions including the Convention against Torture 1984 and the Geneva Conventions, including Geneva Convention III 1949.

If Bush/Blair/rest of alliance invading Iraq was against UN regulations (which I find laughable, since it was in keeping with the UN resolution, but whatever), then where was the UN alliance against the invaders? Where was the UN resolution denouncing the action? It took Corrupt Kofi Annan a year and a half to say that he thought it was illegal. Perhaps it was the millions he was taking from Iraq's food-for-oil program, or the millions passed to his son-in-law, rather than looking at the legality of the US/UK/Spanish/Bulgarian actions that caused him to opine as such.

I'm sure Bush and Blair are laughing on their respective golf courses at the hypocrisy of the UN and Malaysians. Where is the indictment for war crimes against Spain and Bulgaria? And if you want to go there, the 16 previous UN resolutions weren't being adhered to and thus the UN was technically still at war with Iraq.

A Kurdish leader named Mishaal al-Tammo was killed Oct. 7 by masked gunmen in the Syrian city of Qamishli, which, in a world of truth and justice, would be part of an independent Kurdistan (along with the large Kurdish stretches of Iran, Iraq and Turkey). Tammo was a significant opposition figure in Syria, whose government’s main achievement of late is murdering opposition figures, as well as murdering people who attend the funerals of murdered opposition figures. Syrian security forces reportedly fired into the crowd at Tammo’s funeral, killing at least six people.
A Syrian propagandist might note that six killings at a ceremony attended by 50,000 mourners is a very small number proportionally, and is therefore a testament to the restraint of Syrian security forces. A Syrian democracy activist might note that Tammo is one of at least 2,900 Syrians murdered since the beginning of the uprising.
It was this very large number of people murdered by the regime of President Bashar al-Assad that spurred European countries to push for a condemnatory resolution at the UN Security Council shortly before Tammo’s murder. The resolution was worded rather mildly. References to sanctions had been watered down to make it more tolerable to China and Russia -- which still found it intolerable, and vetoed it.
That was the first time Beijing and Moscow joined together to veto a Security Council resolution since 2008, when they were similarly offended by a resolution calling for sanctions against the government of Zimbabwe for its atrocious human-rights record.

As for that, this isn't the first time that media whores have tried this.

A legal case was filed at the Audiencia Nacional against four United States presidents and four United Kingdom prime ministers for commissioning, condoning and/or perpetuating multiple war crimes, crimes against humanity, and genocide in Iraq.

This case, naming George H W Bush, William J Clinton, George W Bush, Barack H Obama, Margaret Thatcher, John Major, Anthony Blair and Gordon Brown, is brought by Iraqis and others who stand in solidarity with the Iraqi people and in defence of their rights and international law.

Puzzled why you call them media whores. I guess it's an unsupportable attempt to discredit their case, which appears to be rock solid:

The UN ordered the deaths of millions of Iraqi children. The war was the liberation of many who followed.

And it's silly to claim that Bush/Cheney ordered the murders of any mass number of people there. The closest thing was the wanted dead or alive on the 52 in the deck of cards.

The broke Geneva conventions regarding treatment of prisoners of war, of that I have no doubt -- euphemistically calling POWs "enemy combatants" and changing the rules doesn't really mean a fucking thing.

As for the UN and their so-called authority I don't put much weight in that. It will be interesting to see how this plays out.
