Unless he has a no trade clause in his contract, he can't block a trade. Since he was traded from the 50-win Nuggets to the 23-win Clippers for a 2nd round pick and didn't block that trade, I'd say it's likely he doesn't have a no trade clause. There are VERY few players in the league that do. Kobe is one. Not sure if there are others, but Marcus Camby would not have been a big enough star to have the leverage to get such a stipulation built into his last contract.

I think most players who are signed to 1-year contract have a no trade clause. I know Nate Robinson does.

Players who sign a qualifying offer can't be traded without player consent. Other than that, a player has to have 8 years in the NBA, 4 of which on their current team, in order to negotiate a no-trade clause into their deal. That's my basic knowledge of NBA no-trade clauses. If memory serves, Kobe Bryant is the only player right now with a no-trade clause.

The article that I read said that Camby got the call from HIS agent Rick Kaplin - not Pritchard. How did the Pritchard rumor get started?
