Joe Freeman ‏ @BlazerFreeman
The #Blazers were outrebouned 54-36, including 21-11 on the offensive end. So why did best rebounder play 3:18 in 2nd half & sit entire 4th?

Joe Freeman ‏ @BlazerFreeman
Camby was as confused as anyone, calling his lack of 2nd-half mins "shocking." Coach Mac said he was "looking" for "something different."

Joe Freeman ‏ @BlazerFreeman
Camby: “I was 5-for-5, had three blocks or something like that. You always want to play, especially against your former team. ..." (cont)

Joe Freeman ‏ @BlazerFreeman
Camby cont: "...I didn’t think I was playing that bad, but I just do what I’m told.”

Joe Freeman ‏ @BlazerFreeman
LaMarcus Aldridge took the #Blazers loss as hard as anyone and he seemed genuinely at a loss about why the team is so inconsistent.

Joe Freeman ‏ @BlazerFreeman
Aldridge:"It gets old. You can only fool yourself for so long. If a guy gets caught stealing from the store over and over and over again..."

Joe Freeman ‏ @BlazerFreeman
Aldridge cont: "...it’s not an accident, it’s not a one-time thing. He’s a thief. We keep saying we can do this, we can do this. ..."

Joe Freeman ‏ @BlazerFreeman
Aldridge part 3: "...But we haven’t done it. So now’s not time for a happy face.”

Sitting Camby when the team is getting killed on the boards is totally inexplicable. I'm not sure what it was Nate was looking for, but the Blazers managed to find yet another miserable road loss due to their inability to rebound against a team that was missing two of its best big men. The Blazers have become a team that is looking up at mediocre.

I think Nate has lost the team. Time to move on.

Trade Wallace & Matthews and try again next year.

I hope LA gets pissed and calls out his teammates. They need to know that they're letting down a whole mess of people.

It's all just talk at this point ... they've already had the dreaded "players only meeting" and what came of it? Nothing much by my guess. It's time for management to get proactive.

Camby and Aldridge don't fear. Management was showcasing e will, Felton and Wallace for their deal with Phoenix. Expect Nash and frye to come back and give us some help! :)

Could always bring in Steve Blake just to throw a chair.

What happened to the plans of putting it to LA in the post? I guess that failed and LA resorted back to his 15-20ft jump shots in the game.

Wallace was horrible on shooting.

Looking forward to the Timbers season and putting this Blazer year behind us already.

P.S. Please play more Elliot Williams already. Awesome dunk in the 3rd.

Well bite my butt and call me stinky...you're Nate's biggest apologist and you're finally being critical of him? Say it aint so, Joe.

Crazy thing is, this is a veteran laden team. Usually teams like that are supposed to be models of consistency. The signs are pointing to poor coaching....Our GM needs to take action....Oh wait...

can we just do the obvious and get rid of Nate, they don't even "scrap" for him anymore and IMO that was about all nate was good at. Fire him please

The team was outscored by 6 in the 16 minutes Camby was on the floor. He might have been putting up decent numbers but Nate was right: the combination wasn't working. The Blazers went on several runs during this game, and all without Camby, so I don't see that he can complain much. Of course, if he came out and said "Take Wallace off instead of me!" then I couldn't really disagree.

Exactly. Fuck the bandaids. This team needs an overhaul, not some duct tape and the hope you can get another few miles out of it

Unfortunately I don't sense a lot of urgency coming from the top. After Larry Miller's comments about wanting to avoid the "hassle" of a GM search it makes me wonder if Paul Allen has grown tired of his toys. If that happens, I kind of expect that lassitude to trickle down into the rest of the management team, where no one will be thinking boldly, but instead will take the safest route to keeping their job ... probably by letting Allen handle all of the scouting and drafting and nodding vigorously when says how much he likes whatever Bosnian point guard catches his fancy.

You nailed it. PA has lost his passion for the Blazers. Will he sell? Probably not for a while. Miller's challenge will be to keep the team profitable. If they do that, I think PA will be happy and everyone will get to keep their jobs.

Even an ace, mags.

I actually think it has more to do with the coach. And a player like Nash will expose it. I know I'm in the minority here, but I think we have enough talent. We just don't have a leader to keep the team focused.

I don't think Allen has lost passion for the Blazers. If so why court and bring in an old vet and cut a young player that will only cost Allen more money. Allen is trying desperately to build a championship team on the fly. It's tough to build a championship team by any route, but trying to continue to improve when you lost your three time all star (with nothing in return) and lost the supposed pillar to the championship and the #1 draft pick (again with nothing in return) . . . that is tough for any organization to overcome.

I think if there is any fault by Allen, it is he is being too passionate and won't let that taste of being the up and coming team that will be perennial championship contender for years out of his mouth. I think he still thinks he can get there riding LA and putting pieces around him. Should he let it go and start over . . . Allen has too much passion for that.
