Looking at the forwards:

Durant and James will be first team. Amare will probably be selected as a center.
Dirk and Gasol will probably be second team.

It comes down to Aldridge, Gasol, Love, Griffin, Pierce, Granger, ZBo, and Bosh for those final two spots. After the AS snub, I hope LA makes third team at least.

I think Adridge and Love should be third team forwards.

When is the selection made? Could the playoff series between Mavs vs. Blazers, Memphis vs. Lakers, Miami vs. 76ers, Boston vs. NY could sway an opinion or 2.

His numbers fell off when certain people were added to the team, so I say 3rd team at best. Either way, he has had a great season

I think 3rd team is realistic. I think he'll get a lot of sympathy votes for people who thought he got rooked from the All Star team. Bottom line, it's deserved. He's a terrific player.

Roy's second team announcement came on May 13, 2009, so a few weeks away. I don't know if playoffs affect the voting, because non-playoff teams have had players who have made teams before.

The only reason why I say it is many sport writers like to look at players when they perform during "The Big Game". Yeah I know there will be players that made the team and aren't in the playoffs; but a playoff performance could sway a vote that is close (two players in question both in the playoffs). Not saying it could happen, unless the votes aren't tallied in until the later. They may already have the votes, but won't announce it until the day you speak.

Myabe third team, but I kind of doubt he gets it.

If he can keep scoring 27 when the refs allow him to be hacked held and shoved all over the place by Haywood/Chandler/Da Germanz then he deserves first team!

Realistically third team will probably come down to him or love and I think he should win out since his team is in the playoffs and Loves team is the worst team in the NBA. Though they might put him at Center in the third team and give Love the forward spot too.

Mags- it's a reg season award. Playoffs don't matter. I think Aldridge and Randolph should be third team. They both should've made the All Star team over Griffin and Love.

But Griffin can jump over a car!

I've been guessing he probably will since the AS game. Pretty sure of it now as dude has been an elite talent producing on both ends this season. Dirk should definitely be 2nd team, Gasol or LA should join him

I'm curious to see who is honored with the 1st team guards selection? Paul and Rose are my best guess

I doubt Paul will get anything higher than second team. Kobe/Wade/Rose all have flashier numbers, and they're on better teams as well.

For precedent, by the way, I believe that Bogut made an All NBA team last year despite not being an All Star. Correct me if I'm wrong.
