My god i feel like this season just wont end. It feels like 2 seasons have been played. Whats worse is the short off season. Pitchers and catchers report in Feb. I just think november baseball is a joke. Isnt the season long enough as is? Do we need to stretch this boring ass game any longer?
 
Totally agree. I posted this huge note on facebook that talks about why I hate baseball so much, and I actually had a few people honestly mad at me. Retarded sport.
 
i know people like baseball but damn.... this season seems as long as i ever remember a season being for mlb.

If it bothers you, you should just put baseball on "ignore". If you post about baseball it will only encourage it to play even longer.

It's cracking into it's 7th month..

Basketball goes from the end of Oct. to the middle of June, roughly 7 and a half months.

Then again, I love all sports. ;]

BTW, don't trust my math.
 
I agree. It's way too long, and there's just way too many things going on at the same time that it's sharing its attention with -- down the wire of college football, middle of the NFL, start of the NBA. It's dragged out way too long.
 
The only thing I dislike more than baseball is ESPNs absolute orgy of the sport. I swear they think baseball is god's gift to the earth...
 
I'm never going to complain that a sports season runs longer. I like sports.

Last MLB game I went to Max was in Denver! Didn't see a god damn thing......... Ha sat right in front of me!

They need to shorten the season, and make the playoff series longer. Seriously after a 162 game season your going to play a 5 game series, in the first round, for a fringe playoff team, 3 games minimum is BS.

Screw baseball, there is a lot more meaningless things I'll enjoy watching, rather than seeing steroid induced idiots stare at a ball being thrown by their face, and then watch them readjust their uniform for hours and hours on end.

Saturday, I was tempted to grab some two part epoxy, put one part on the couch and the other on my ass, order pizza, grab some beers and let the good times roll! I did take a break to take my boy trick-or-treating, which was even more fun than the games.

As a lifelong baseball fan, I will say they need to rein in the times between pitches. The equivalent of a "pitch clock" would make some sense. There's no need to step out of the batters box or walk off the mound between pitches. If you watch some of the games on ESPN Classic, you'd be surprised at how quick the pace is.

I can't watch baseball.. it is just so boring to me.. I don't really have a problem that its still on though cause I don't watch it. :dunno:

I was the same way until I started following a team and went to games. Games are fun, drink beer for hours outside! :cheers:
 
I agree with a few in this thread. Saturday was the shit. College football, playoff baseball, and the Blazers. Just awesome.

Plus, playoff baseball is DRAMA. I love it. Regular season baseball? No, not so much.

I am REALLY into Baseball for the 1st month of the season, and the last 2 weeks of regular season and playoffs. I'll agree to that :cheers:
