Can Jimmer be a solid NBA PG in the right situation?

I keep wondering about this and we have to consider PG's in the context of the new NBA and how PG's are treated via the rules (hands off). First of all how many PG's play even solid defense and with the rules as they are isn't offense.shooting and passing/ball handling a lot more important?

I really have not seen Jimmer play at all, I hear he is an incredible shooter and has fairly solid passing/ball handling skills. Most seem to suggest his defense is lousy but he did I think surprise a great many with his very good athletic testing at the combine. And again how many PG's really play good D?

I remember Curry from GS having many of the same things said about him and look how well his game has transitioned to the NBA. We need shooting badly, perhaps a guy like Jimmer is actually a better PG prospect then guys like Kemba?

No. The league seems to be moving towards utilizing ultra quick PG's to break down defenses and create mismatches. Jimmer is going to get abused byt the ultra quick guys and cause whoever his bigs are to be in constant foul trouble

He's point guard size. He can shoot. He scores a lot. He could fall to us. A lot of people are unsure if he can play in the NBA, while others think he can.

Jimmer is the rare player who looked spectacular in college and yet could drop to a team picking in the 20s. He could fall that far for obvious flaws, of course, but it still generates more interest/excitement than the average pick at that range who looked okay. That, IMO, is why he gets so much talk. The "What if he's not actually a college mirage?" factor.

Every year there is a player or two that garner this attention from both sides, on all levels. Last was Love. I will go on record and say that Jimmer will do very well in a free flowing O in his early career, and end up like a fisher late. All of the measuring tapes and stop watches in the NBA can not take drive and IQ into account, this kid has both.

In the 4-5 games that I actually watched him play, I did not see anyting to make me think he could be a NBA PG.

He is a white Ben Gordon. He would be a 7-8th player on a Championship contending team.... And an OK starter on a lotto team.
