Because things have been agreed to, I've been updating the "Maximizing space" thread. But things haven't actually been signed/players traded yet.
So technically, we haven't HAD to renounce JJ's or Maynor's cap hold. Though once Maynor signs with someone else, his goes away immediately.
We don't HAVE to make trades at the first possible instant on 10 July. So, for instance, in the next 5 days we can agree to a S&T of Hickson for someone making 3.5M more than Hickson (using his cap hold), THEN make the Lopez and Robinson trades after that trade becomes official.
And you can use either cap room to sign Withey and Crabbe, or rookie-minimum exceptions after you've used all your space, or cut them a portion of the room exception. But if you use the room exception for them, you're limited to a 2yr contract.
So no, technically at the moment Sasha hasn't been waived, and Maynor's and Hickson's cap holds aren't renounced. They will have to be at some point before we trade for Lopez and Robinson.
