Yeah I know, the consensus is Arod won't make it out of ST .....but (as I've said...and possibly the only one who has said it) - if he can run and swing without hampering pain, he could help improve those stinky 2014 numbers coming out of 1b and DH.

Maybe just a little bit of competition coming from a high profile player is a good thing.
For what's its worth, I think Arod can handle 1b occasionally without embarrassing himself - IF HEATHY.
Tex, you're on notice including Garrett Jones, .810 ops vs RHP.

Just because you believe Arod won't make it out of ST,I happen to think there's a fair chance he makes the team and is "good enough" to improve two of the weaker offensive areas of the lineup - DH and 1b.....maybe not so much at 1b but remains possibly an occasional option. Just one small (?) lol reason -Arod, for my thinking of a considerably improved offense.

And remember, you referred to my previous post (#7) as "the same shit".
Be careful what you wish for....Arod just may make you eat some sh!t.

I'm supposed to take this crap lying down from a bunch of maniacs who think they have the "real" crystal ball because of the same handful of the usual regulars agreeing with each other.....and, oh, don't forget the Fangraphs and Pecotas. lol

... Take a look at the thread title and the thread topic. This has NOTHING to do with ARod's possible good or bad return to Baseball. It's a "tongue in cheek" thread about us inserting our take on what ARod and Tex might be saying to one another...hence "caption of the day".
...but your insistence on turning virtually every thread, regardless of the subject matter, into your own personal platform for the same singular argument is getting old and has been for awhile now.
... I think it's safe to say that everyone is well aware of your opinion concerning the Yanx' upcoming season....but Jesus tap dancing Christ, just let it go already, and stop being a cartoon...and yet still you wonder why you're treated like a pariah.

Dude it's enough already. This is a tongue in check thread in regards to a funny picture. You're coming out of nowhere again with an argument that was already beaten to death. I locked that other thread for a reason. Move on and discuss something else.

And I was using my "tongue in cheek" when suggested Tex just might have some healthy competition (if he stinks up the joint again) possibly (on occasion) coming from G Jones and probably to a lesser degree Arod.

Am I allowed to use my "tongue in cheek" on occasion? Or do I have to always SPECIFY?
The thread did start with a picture of Tex AND Arod....yes, no?
