I think he would be good for the bullpen. He would be better than Thornton...

I was really relieved to see Cappy released from L.A. The guy just has nothing left in the tank.....and, was being hit around like batting practice during games.

..it's amazing to me how many of these shooting stars rise and fall from grace.

Mark Fidrych

Fidyrich, no doubt one of the best examples of flaming burn out comets/stars...!!!

I began to add a few names, yet, the list could be long, tedious, and where does one draw the line, one year wonders...? or guys like:

Daisuke Matsuzaka....?

Doc-K...?

Steve Howe...?

John Wetteland...?

Tony Conigliario, (not sure he fits, due to injury)....

The criteria can be foggy, depending on whom the player is, the devil is in the details...me thinks...:smiley-hmm: :dunno:

Shoot stars, flash in the pans, one year wonders.....would be a great thread. Then rick can comment on ped implicated.

You got robbed of a couple raider superbowls there.

...yup...the organization was really never the same after that fateful game with the Bengals...was also another true 5 tool Baseball player.
